We often receive questions about the thickness of the cushion. Because how thick should the cushion be? This varies per sofa or chair, as the seat height varies. The easiest method is to sit on a chair or sofa and determine which height is ideal for you based on that.
The point of attention here is that you do not sit too high with your feet and that you do not touch the table with your legs (if the furniture is next to a table). Of course, you also need to make sure you follow the minimum thickness that we recommend in the configurator.
If the custom seat cushion gets stuck somewhere, for example, between two walls or armrests, it is advisable to subtract half a centimeter from the length for extra play. Otherwise, the fabric may start to fold.
If you choose the cord finishing, which is outside the dimensions, then subtract an extra half a centimeter from the length of the cushion.
How firm do you want the cushion to be? Some people prefer a firm filling while others prefer a soft filling. Your preference will determine the choice of specific filling. Look for help in making this choice and what you consider important in the chart below.
